Store Policies

MAtherton Metals is a one woman show. In order to protect myself (while making sure you are as happy as possible with your purchase) I have written a detailed outline of my policies below.

I ask that you to please read through them carefully before making your purchase, so that you have a clear understanding of my shop policies. Once you have purchased your item(s) I can only assume that you have read and understood these policies. You will essentially be entered into a contract with me upon your order.

 

Returns and Exchanges

Returns

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of my work, I do not accept returns or issue refunds. Although, I am confident you will love your new piece of jewelry! Please think very carefully about your purchase before buying. You can stay informed by reading through my shop policies and also contact me with any questions you may have about an item. 
  

Exchanges

In certain circumstances, exchanges are accepted. I will except exchanges only within the 90 days after the date of purchase. When making your purchase of particular items (i.e. rings) please make sure you give me the correct size. On occasion, I have had to exchange items where customers have been mistaken about what size they need. If there is an issue with the size, the item can be exchanged for the same item in the correct size. (This only applies to rings that are not one of a kind.) I am happy to help in this instance. However, you are required to pay for shipping back to me as well as the return shipping. Also, please note that if the original item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Shipping

You will receive a confirmation email when your purchase is made. When your order has shipped you will receive a second confirmation email with a tracking number. Please note that in an attempt to save paper, I do not include a packing slip. If you need additional gift boxes or would like your package shipped discreetly, please let me know.  
  

Items in Stock

Will be shipped within 1-3 business days after payment is received.
  
 

Made to Order / Custom Orders

Once payment is received I will begin fabrication. Because this is a unique item made from scratch it can take between 3-4 weeks to complete. (Times may vary for the holiday season.) The item(s) will be shipped when completed.


Pre-Orders

Pre-Order items are pieces I regularly make and carry but have recently sold out of. Due to their popularity, I provide the option to pre-order so customers can receive them as soon as they are back in stock. Once payment is received there is an estimated 4-6 week processing time to cover how long it could take to fabricate and restock, but likely items will ship earlier. (Please note that this does not apply to the holiday season.) 
  

US Customers

Can typically expect to receive orders within 2-5 days once the order has been marked as shipped. Depending on the time of year (holidays) it can vary by a few days.

 

International Customers

Can typically expect to receive orders within 10 days - 1 month once the order has shipped, but sometimes longer. The time frame is very dependent on your country's unique customs laws.

I ship via USPS using first-class services which includes tracking.
Insurance is not included but can be added for an additional fee. Please contact me if you want to purchase insurance. Please understand if you decline to add this service and your package is lost, stolen, or damaged due to USPS or other factors out of my control, I am not responsible.

 

Holiday Season

Please plan ahead when making holiday or gift orders - I would like to reiterate that I am a one-woman show. However, I will do everything in my power to get them to you right away. Please reread through my policies and consider how long fabrication and shipping can take (especially during the holiday season!). The best practice for the holidays is: The earlier you order the better for everyone involved! 
  
 

Unforeseen Circumstances

**It is rare but Mother Nature can sometimes be cruel. There is always the possibility that there could circumstances that are completely out of my control. (ie. inclement weather, power outages, family emergencies, waiting on supply vendors, etc) but in any such case, I will notify you immediately to let you know what is going on and get your order out as quickly and efficiently as possible.
